Games N Moorer takes flight with Redout: Space Assault

Joseph Moorer, the man behind Games N Moorer, last night took a spin in his Super Orbital Recon Fighter to assist in the battle against the rebels in Redout: Space Assault. It turns out that there are some chumps that aren't down with the peaceful colonization of Mars, so Joseph drafted himself into...um...Space Force.

After running through the basic layout of the game and getting started, Joseph dies almost immediately by crashing into the interior of an asteroid. After inverting the Y-axis (because we are not savages), he fares a bit better.

Redout: Space Assault is a the evolution of the original franchise, which was until this point a racing IP along the lines of Wipeout. With the addition of combat, Redout: Space Assault now resembles something closer to a StarFox game, with the player being propelled steadily forward while gunning down baddies. No talking frogs, though. However, instead of flying face-first down an invisible tunnel, Redout: Space Assault gives the player a bit more agency, allowing them to swoop around a larger open area.

Redout: Space Assault was developed by 38BigThings, and is published by Saber Interactive. the game is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch for $9.99. Redout: Space Assault is currently on sale on Steam for 10% off, and players can also snag the Deluxe Edition, which comes with the award winning soundtrack.
